Google Calendar & Contacts on iPhone

Have all your calendars synchronized and accurate everywhere!Currently I am not aware of any other way to integrate your google calendar with iPhone’s core calendar except by following the instructions below. I personally tried the steps, provided by Google, but was only able to see one calendar on my iPhone and couldn’t figure out how to get the other ones to show up. You can try it and if you figure it out let me know.

Getting Started:

  1. Open the Settings application
  2. Tap Mail, Contacts Calendars

  3. Tap on Add Account
  4. Tap/Select Microsoft Exchange
  5. In the Email field, enter your FULL Google account email address.

*The screenshot shows domain as @googlemail.com but you can also use @gmail.com. You may see an “Unable to verify certificate” warning when you proceed to next step, ignore this and tap Continue or Accept.

  6. Leave Domain blank
  7. In the Username field, enter your FULL Google account email address again.
  8. Enter your Google account password and tap Next.
  9. When the new Server field appears, enter: m.google.com.

  10. Press Next
  11. Select the Google service you’d like to synchronize with your device
  12. IMPORTANT: Unless you want to completely delete/remove and replace all existing Contacts and Calendars on iPhone with Google Contacts and Calendars I highly suggest you tap Keep on my iPhone. There is no undo avaialable if you choose to delete. If you choose to only synchronize My Contacts group, then you must choose to Delete Existing Contacts during the Google Sync. If you choose to keep existing contacts, it will sync the contents of the “All Contacts” group instead.

That’s it! You’ve setup Google Sync on your device (iTouch or iPhone). Please remember Pixelerium.com is not responsible for any damages google sync may cause to your device. This is only a tutorial provided by Google.

If in Gmail you have more than 1 calendar and would like to view all of them on your iPhon/iPod you will need to take the steps below:

  1. Go to: http://m.google.com/sync on your device
  2. Log in with Gmail credentials
  3. Select the calendar you want to sync
  4. Save & that’s it!

Now you should be able to see all your calendars on you iPhone/iPod.
